Lancaster and Morecambe Model Aircraft Club

A social media post drew my attention to a model exhibition in Morecambe, although aimed at plastic model builders the organisers were keen to expand on the repertoire. I contacted Lancaster and Morecambe Model Aircraft Club Chairman, Malcolm Ball who was keen to raise the club visibility in the catchment area. Like so many clubs that operate out of sight this is one positive way of being noticed.

Morecambe library was the venue and members of the LAMMAC arrived early to assemble an impressive display outlining the progression from trainer through to scale flying.

A goody box of freebies was kindly donated by the BMFA. A small simulator, which I manned, loaned from BMFA NW Chairman Martyn Kinder acted as a magnet to the youngsters keen to have a go.

Hopefully some of the visitors will visit the club flying site over the coming months and maybe some new members in the making.

Well done  LAMMAC for showing our chosen sport in a positive way and to the BMFA and NW Area for their support.
